Tooth resorption

Pathological tooth resorption refers to tooth destruction caused by inflammation. If left untreated, they can lead to tooth loss. The treatment of dental resorption is the responsibility of the endodontist. Treating these conditions often requires endodontic treatment and, in some cases, additional surgery. The most common types of resorption are external cervical resorptions. Resorptions are usually asymptomatic, which often explains why they are diagnosed late.
